Student of the Month
October 2025
Edie
Edie is a dedicated and enthusiastic learner who approaches every day with a genuine love of learning. She listens attentively in class, engages thoughtfully in discussions. and consistently strives to understand new ideas.
Edie shows wonderful growth in her work ethic and is always willing to have a go, demonstrating determination and a positive attitude in all she does.
Edie is also a caring and supportive friend who contributes to a warm and welcoming classroom environment. She consistently demonstrates our school values of Responsibility, Respect and Resilience, treating others with kindness and showing strong teamwork skills.
Edie is a valued member of our school community, and we are incredibly proud of her efforts and achievements.
A year at our school
Australia's Biggest Morning Tea
A beautiful morning tea shared amongst students, staff and families to raise money for a wonderful cause.
Anzac Day
Our Anzac Day assembly shared with community members to honour those who served our country.
Grandparents Day
We opened our classrooms and shared a beautiful morning tea with our special guests, our students enjoyed interviewing their grandparents, discussing the changes to school life between then and now.
Musica Viva
We welcomed the performers from Musica Viva to our school. Through engaging blends of percussion, soundscapes and contemporary dance, students explore how rhythm and movement can reflect with natural world.
Pyjama Day
Made for a fun day with students (and teachers) coming to school in the best pyjamas.
Robo Cup Competition
Students represented our School at RoboCup at Newcastle University. Using teamwork, communication, problem solving, and coding skills to tackle a search and rescue task and performance challenges with their robots.
Dungog Shire Youth Forum "My Shire, My Future"
Our students joined other schools across the Dungog Shire to share ideas and discuss important topics like housing, infrastructure, planning and jobs - all with a focus on shaping the future of our local area.
Australian Reptile Park
Our whole school travelled to the Australian Reptile Park where we enjoyed a range of amazing wildlife experiences.
Dungog High School - Farm to Kitchen Experience
Our 3/4 Students, connected with our local high school (Dungog High School) to explore their agricultural plot. Students we able to give lots of cuddles to the baby lambs, as well as collect the eggs from the chickens and then work with High School Students to create some yummy treats in the food technology rooms.
